215/65 R16 SUV tyres
SUVs and crossovers are heavier and taller than ordinary cars, so the load index matters more for their tyres, and an all-wheel-drive vehicle needs identical tyres on every wheel. This page opens with the 215/65 R16 size. Read the guide

Road or AT tyres
If your crossover is mostly driven on asphalt, road tyres built for a quiet, precise ride are the better fit. For gravel and forest roads there are AT (All Terrain) tyres with a coarser, more open tread: they cope better off the road but are usually louder on asphalt. Many AT tyres carry only the M+S marking, and in Latvia that is not enough from 1 December to 1 March for vehicles up to 3.5 t – they need 3PMSF; see what the 3PMSF marking means.
Load index and XL
Latvia's roadworthiness rules require the load index to be adequate for the vehicle. In 215/65 R16, a standard tyre usually has load index 98 (750 kg per tyre) and a reinforced XL tyre 102 (850 kg); if the vehicle maker specifies 102, you need an XL tyre. More in what XL, HL and C mean. Van tyres of the same size marked C have a different construction and need a different pressure, so fit them only if the vehicle maker allows it.
All-wheel drive
All-wheel-drive systems are sensitive to differences in rolling circumference, so tyre makers advise fitting identical tyres with similar tread depth on all wheels and replacing all four at once. If you do replace only two, check what your vehicle maker says; Latvia's roadworthiness rules require the tyres on one axle to be of the same make, with the same name and tread pattern.

215/65 R16 is a common size for compact crossovers, while larger SUVs usually run on 17-inch or bigger wheels. Set your own size in the filters or use the search by vehicle. For winter in this size, see 215/65 R16 winter tyres.
